Hi all,

I am looking for recommendations for a 800x800-1100 shower enclosure. I want one that has back panels as I am sick of seals going and tiles getting manky etc.. I don't want one of those that look like they belong in a caravan.

This looks entirely to cheap to be good but I don't have an issue buying from screwfix.. http://screwfixbathrooms.com/store/screwfixbathroom/800x800mm-pivot-door-shower-cabin-swecp8002

Does anyone have any experience with kind of product they could share with me?

Rather than an all-in-one' product I'd suggest:

1) Shower tray
2) Shower enclosure
3) Wall panels

thanks for the info, never heard of the "vantage" brand, have you used them before? problem with me is I have always bought "brands" that are unknown to me from places like bathroomsrus and they are always cheap rubbish - hence my current position.

Why would you recommend getting separate as opposed to an all in one? if you don't mind me asking?

Have used the hydropanel on quite a few occasions (the vantage you mention is enclosures not panels) and like both the product and the finish. As always, follow the instructions to the letter especially preparation, joints adhesives and sealants.

The reason for not using an all in one product is, for example, the one you have highlighted is glass all round. If you install tight to a wall then this means that you have still got to finish the walls to a high standard and you will never have access to the area after installation. You are left with an inaccessible space with the risks of mould etc.

Using separate components means that you have some degree of adjustment - I've never met a building with walls meeting at exactly 90 degrees and plumb in all directions yet.

Couldn't agree more - the product I linked to is ply cored with balancing laminate on the back
