Can anybody recommend either an ad blocker that I can use with Firefox or a browser that is less prone to ads?

i use adblock plus
but you will have to disable it to watch some catch up tv on your lap top but as you can do this individually in seconds from tools its not a problem 8)

Thanks to you both.
I installed it yesterday and I've got control of my puter again.
In the last month or so the banners and pop ups seemed to get so much worse, it was driving me mad.

I wouldn't be without Adblocker. It annoys me however when I have to disable it to watch catch up programmes.

On some of the players you have the option to open the media up on a seperate window, and sometimes this seperate window then seems to work with adblock, bit hit and miss though.
