Hi guys,

We live in a rented house with no cold water storage tank and the mains pressure is pretty shocking. I've read it's illegal to fit a shower pump if you have no cold water storage tank!? Is that true or can I just go ahead and fit one? We are at our wits end with our pathetic dribble of a shower!

Thanks in advance.

Many thanks for the link Picasso.

We have an unvented system. Hot water cylinder in the bathroom and a boiler downstairs in the kitchen.

I assume that there has been pressure and flow tests on the mains already performed given an un-vented system is in place?

I am surprised then that you have poor mains pressure as most un-vented cylinders usually specify a minimum pressure/flow requirement, e.g megaflow are 1.5bar @ 20l/min
