Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
I've got a small, old-fashioned cast iron radiator that I want to fit. It's only 55cm wide by 40cm tall. So it's too short to stand on feet on the floor – but it's still very heavy. What would you use to fix it to the wall?
Please don't hesitate to upload a picture for us, once it's up and working, especially moi! ; something about the beauty in cast iron rads that makes me smile! (no jokes/puns! Thank you )
The radiator will expand and contract as it heats up and cools down. Allow for this when determining where on the radiator you position the brackets. The radiato must be able to move relative to at least one of the brackets other wise "creaking sounds" are likely. A resilient pad between bracket and radiator is a cure for this minor but sometimes irritating noise.
