Gas pipe chased in to wall cemented over

Is it practice to drop a gas pipe down a dot and dabbed wall to feed a gas fire. Coated copper and the encased in adhesive or cement. Is the risk of someone nailing the pipe not the gas fitters problem. The pipe has been left caped in the void behind the skirting board would this not need a vent?

Pipe should be chased into the wall so top of pipe is at least flush with wall.

Should also be protected from drilling with 1mm steel plate (or run in galv).

And what about the cap end in the void behind the skirting board? does this not need a vent?

From the sounds of it the void is too small to need vents.

Is the 1mm steel plate usually placed other the top after the pipe has been encased in cement? I guess 1mm steel plate is not often used on new builds due to speed and cost etc.

What are you to do if chasing a 1 inch deep chase and you go over a vertical motar joint that hasn't been filled great by the bricklayers. And you can see through to the cavity.

When dropping a pipe down a stud wall and encasing with a timbre stood either side is there anything else needed?

Would a pipe runing through a set of 3 engineering joist right next to each other need a sleeve. Or would the other holes in the triple joists act as vents

Suppose it depends if they class the area incorporating the triple engineering joists as a cavity??
