Christianity facing elimination

Apparently the Government is going to send inspectors into sunday schools to look for religious extremists, Christians who tell their kids that marriage is only for a man and a woman could be considered extremists, what about extreme Atheists who are not content to live and let live but go out of their way to heap scorn and ridicule on all Christians, people like Richard Dawkins who says Christians are mentally ill probably thinks he is being brave by insulting Christianty but would he insult Jews or muslims in the same manner.
I am not a Christian myself but I wouldn't go out of my way to insult those that are.
I can see a backlash coming from Christians at some point, they could become more old testament "fire and brimstone" than todays "turn the other cheek" philosophy of the new testament.

I am sure the Queen and associates will do everything necessary to maintain her position.

Goodness, what would happen if one of the Royal family wanted to marry a muslim?
Look what happened to Princess DI when there was the danger of her marrying a muslim.

It would seem that everyone with (and even without) a belief is an extremist to others who disagree.

Where do you draw the line then?
Are you not allowed to say that even if it is true just because it is a belief?

You can register in the US, for tax purposes, as a religion no matter how nutty as long as it meets a few very lax conditions.

but would he insult Jews or muslims in the same manner.
Not sure about whether Dawkins ventures into that realm but other like minded speakers certainly do.

Richard Dawkins is equally rude to all religions, not just Christianity; but being a Christian country, this is the one we hear him denigrating the most. Whilst the AofC will warn people that Christianity is in danger of being snuffed out where it started, he fails to realise than in some ways, he and his predecessors helped it along by encouraging multiculturalism. Unfortunately, unlike the Chezcks and the Germans, we're getting too laid back in this country to stand up and do anything about the slow relentless tide of Islam - which is different from Daesh - and so in a hundred years or so, we could well be a Muslim country. Regrettably, Her majesty is too prudent and politically astute, to stand up and condemn the relentless march of Islam, and the Blair government pushed multiculturalism to the point where Christians are now condemned for their beliefs, so this country can only go to the dogs from here on in.

Why do you worry about "the slow relentless tide of Islam"? Were you similarly aghast at the reach of Christianity? Is it the spread/reach of any religion that worries you, or just Islam? If it is only Islam that worries you, why?
Incidentally, the slow relentless tide of Islam that you refer to would result in about 18% of Muslims in Europe by 2110, (1990 4%, 2015 6%, 2030 projected 8% according to ChristianVoice.org.uk. I would guess that this organisation presents the worst scenario to Christianity, assuming that all influences remain equal. Of course historically 100 years is a long time and many things will change in that time. Perhaps some things remain the same, 100 years ago we were fighting WW1 in the middle east, (Persia/Mesopotamia) but we were fighting alongside Muslims, not against them.

Regrettably, Her majesty is too prudent and politically astute, to stand up and condemn the relentless march of Islam, and the Blair government pushed multiculturalism to the point where Christians are now condemned for their beliefs, so this country can only go to the dogs from here on in.
Kindly point out where Christians are condemned for their beliefs, in the UK.

The spread of Islam worries a lot of people. They look at the state of countries that are mostly Islamic and would prefer Blighty to remain as is.[/QUOTE]

As demonstrated by the figures projected by the ChristianVoice.org.uk, UK is hardly likely to change its religious authority over the next hundred years, at least, assuming things continue as is, which is highly unlikely.
Needless to say, organisations like ChristianVoice have a hidden agenda, they want to encourage Christianity and are quite willing to "scare" people into their belief.
Islam is a religion of peace.
Extreme Islam is not, as is any other form of extreme religion.
So surely the concern should be the spread or indoctrination of any form of extreme religion, or even political persuasion, not just Islam.

and would prefer Blighty to remain as is.
That applies to all change; not just Islam.

I dare say such people would prefer the West Indians had not come here in the fifties.

Not to mention those Celts from Portugal, or the Saxons and Angles from Germany.

Or the bloody Vikings settling in York.

Don't get me started on the Romans and the Huguenots.

Or the Normans destroying our heritage, and the Scots, Germans and Greeks taking over the English Crown.

Islam is a religion of peace.

Ohh yeah. Show me where Christian Voice has cried out for the beheading/stoning to death of non believers?... Show me the facts that Islam is truly a religion of peace? (and please, please, please, don't start wailing on about the Crusades in the 12th century to portray Christianity as a bloody religion, We can't go back and change anything that happened centuries ago)
You and your ilk won't be happy until Islam has taken over and your bent over every Friday, praying to a bloody fairytale figure.

selective quoting by jockscott, I see.

Why is jockscott talking as if someone has claimed that Christian Voice encourages beheadings? Is he unable to deal with what was actually said, rather than what he's invented?

I haven't claimed that Christian Voice has encouraged beheadings, and well you know it. I've simply asked him to show where Christianity has called for beheadings, stonings etc. Can he show me where Christianity (in today's world) is scaring people, into it's beliefs? Himaginn claims Islam is the religion of peace. (see the text I highlighted in the quote) I've asked for him to show me that Islam truly is a "religion of peace" I will give him time to reply though.

Ancient history is no threat. It's already happened. People worry about whats coming, if anything. Your argument is more of a justification of extreme Islams potential actions than a reason for people not to worry. Personally I think Christianity is not at risk anyway.
