Hi All, I was a bit of a cheapskate when I brought a new sink for our kitchen refurb and it wasn't until after I installed I that I noticed it was bowed, so the drainer runs away from the sink instead of towards it.

When I press down on the edge of the sink, it corrects the gradient, but then springs back up.

Any suggestions on how I can correct it? I was thinking of leaving something heavy on the edge for a few days to try and get a permanent bend in the metal, but not sure if this will work?

Can you press up on the drainer from underneath to correct the fall? If so then a small wooden brace underneath may work.

If you get a piece of baton exactly the same width as the drainer and slip it underneath the sinks edges you should be able to wedge it in there therefore pressing up on the drainer, or drill a couple of angle holes in each end of the baton to allow a 3mm screw to be tightened horizontally into the edge of the worktop cutout.

As the baton is the same deapth as the sink drainer it should clear the washing machine.
