but they should still be suitable for the environment, i.e. the steamy atmosphere and you may not want holes in a bathroom ceiling.

They will still require to be IP rated, but the rating will be related to the environmental conditions, rather than the zone!
Building Regs Part C would be worth a look at, regarding resistance to moisture (Walls, Floors, Roofs)
