Hi Guys I had a water pump installed when my new bathroom was fitted, just want your feed back to tell me if it has been fitted correctly as I am useless with plumbing. I have got a gravity feed system with a tank just above my immersion, the photo attached is the pipe work which the plumber altered just above my immersion, if this makes sense. My main problem is in the morning I have a airlock in my upstairs hot water and have to go downstairs to run water to clear the airlock then all is ok and the pump kicks in.

Thanks Swaley

Sounds like your shower head is above the level of the water level in your tank and you should have a neg-head pump installed - these are considerably more expensive than pos-head pumps and 'some' fitters will just try and fit-&-feck-off! Is this the case in your setup?

Looks like a good job.....obviously fitted by a professional when looking @ the tape on comp joints along with the plastic pipe....where's the pump????

I don't have a shower the reason for the pump was awful pressure coming from my upstairs hot feed only, when I had my new bath & sink fitted. The pump is sitting on the floor in my cupboard with my immersion. Is the pipe work correctly installed?

The feed to the pump is not providing enough pressure to "prime" the flow switch.
Without being able to see the whole arrangement and trace routes, bores and inline fittings - it's impossible to tell.
How much does the cistern water drop by when pump is in use?
Maybe that Surrey flange is sucking stuff up from cylinder and getting blocked!
