Hi All

I have currently had a grant given where they insulate with 100mm/dash, replace all fascia/gutters etc in white, getting new flat roof THEY will apply the new insulation/render to rear as they are also doing a an old felt roof....

The PROBLEM i have is the front...Its AWE FULL !!!!!!!!!

They will ONLY paint the centre section with bays and the bit above the door !!!!

I have a new front door on order, BUT what are my best options for the awe full fake stone ?

The contractor who was pricing it said 'the boys' will sand blast it for a cash....

I think it would better jet washed and painted white ??

Or should i start hacking the crap off whilst they still have scaffold up ( 6 weeks).....

NOT sure if i am in the right section as i want to paint id due to PRICE tbh...

ALL opinions welcomed.

Cheers

Good old stone cladding...

Normally put over shot pointing and ice blown brickwork. Red bricks look lovely either side, but unless you have £10k or 16 weeks of time its futile removing it and repairing the brick.

Best bet is to get it cleaned, fix up any issues with the cladding and give it 3 full coats of Santex smooth- might be prudent to use a brick primer to add adhesion between cladding and paint.

Nice plant feature upper bay :)

Thanks for the reply, so just give it a GOOD jetwash in summer, what brick primer would you recommend ?

The 'plant Feature' and the part above door are being repaired and painted in Cream (I had NO CHOICE).....Would a Santex white suite it as a contrast ? or a different colour ??

Cheers
