Hopefully this is better here than in Gardens......
There seem to be many products available where driveway gravel is back-filled into a cell-like plastic grid. The grid is supposed to stabilise the gravel.
My questions....
1) Is there a generic term for this approach? This is to help with better google searches, and to avoid getting too specific too early, e.g. in discussions with contractors.
2) How does this approach perform in general? Does it move about, or does the plastic frame get exposed and scuffed with vehicle movement?
3) Are there recommendations or types to avoid? Please share any experiences.
4) Does it look any good?
5) Okay to walk on (to front door)?
Many thanks for any thoughts,
CB
PS In case you saw it, my thoughts were prompted by a recent Nick Knowles thing. It looked like a good idea (in TV land).
