Ok everyone, let's be careful out there.(y)
A good philosophy.

People have been known to die because they didn't THINK. And it's not because they couldn't think, it's because they didn't bother, and one of the reasons for that is the relentless focus, as shown here, on the idea that situations where they might be required to think must be deprecated, and thus a culture of assuming that it is always somebody else's responsibility to consider risks is created.

"Maybe you, or the people in your life, are that stupid"
You mean such as a child who has no life experience of stairs? Or at night when you get up drowsily for a wee in a building you're not familiar with? Or, you know, a normal person who simply doesn't expect stairs to be frictionless? How would they even know the stairs are glossy unless they bend down to feel it?? Who does that?

Three pages all because of "Have you considered the dangers of an uncarpeted stair?" I get the feeling BAS would pick a fight with his own shadow if no one else was around

Why are they allowed unsupervised uncontrolled access to the stairs without appropriate footwear?

Slippers.

Ever encountered floors which are frictionless?

How would anyone even know that a wood floor was glossy unless they bent down to feel it?? Who does that?

No - three pages because people refuse to be logical, refuse to think, and refuse to use statistical data properly.

So you suggest 24/7 monitoring/supervision of stair use? Would that be the top or the bottom?
