Garage Floor Levelling

Hello all,

I'm wanting to smooth over and level out my garage floor. Whats the best DIY stuff to use? I want it to be as dust free as possible to try and use the garage for spray painting, the current floor is rippled so it collects lots of dust and is hard to sweep.

I was not sure if you could use this for a garage floor, is it strong enough for cars to stand on?

Have a read up on the Acrylic type which gives a tough wearing surface for garage floor

Hi, I`m doing the same ie. spraying in my garage .And it`s a lot different with this new clear over base than with the old cellulose .Trying to get the temp up in winter is one issue ventilation is another got myself a air mask `cuz the stuf is poisonous.........all in , I`m seriously considering a purpose built shed/portakabin....anyways if you`re not driving a car into garage when it`s converted for spraying you could lay polystirene sheets under flooring chipboard on the floor Good Luck

My other idea was to get some damp proof membrane and lay that on the floor, I have some polythene sheet for the walls and ceiling to stop dust. I have a decent mask but I have been looking at some air movers to keep the air as fresh as possible. I had a look in BnQ for the levelling comp but there value stuff said it was for internal floors @ £7 for 25kg, the was a polymer version but that was £30 for 25kg. Could I not use the value stuff and add something to it?

Does anyone know if there is much diffence between the two if I use them in my garage which will be used as a gym with a couple bits of equipment in, i.e. treadmill and weight bench. Obvioulsy I would want to use the cheapest possible.
