Best brown caulk for exterior door/window frames?

So all the caulk on the outside of my doors and windows is in a sorry state. My plan is to replace it but not sure what's the best one to use- never done this before- the windows are wooden and are brown so looking for a colour which matches. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Being a newb at this I will need a smoothing tool..The ones I have seen are small tools which would be useful for smaller gaps around sink etc. Any thoughts on what the right tool is for the job? It's large gaps I need to caulk. Thanks

For exterior use, a wet finger is fine....the sealant will press into the gap without any fuss.
For interior use, the masking tape method - where you prepare parallel runs of tape, add the sealant, press in and then remove the tape - is a good one if you aren't too confident with silicone.

Thanks mate- was looking at the Fugi Kit as shown on YouTube by ultimate handyman which looks good as well.
