Name that rad lockshield valve! [pleease]

Can anyone help identify this radiator lockshield/valve please?

It's the one on the right. It's larger than the one on the left.

The nut on the left is about 20mm across flats. The one on the right is about 25mm.
Both going on to 15mm pipework, but the right one seems much larger thread, although from the underside you can see the compression nut is sized right.

I've bought a few valves, tried, then had to put the old one back on that's failed because the ones I buy aren't the right size.

I've tried plumbers merchants who have looked at a pic and just scratch their heads.

They are unbranded imported valves often bundled with the also imported towel rail you have 2 different make valves fitted so the immersion tee fits and it looks poor.

Your rhs valve body is of a larger diameter so the valve nuts/thread are larger than the standard 15mm valves although the connection for pipes are 15mm.

What is your goal ?

you can fit any standard 15mm valve on the rhs but you need to remove the nuts and olives and fit the ones that come with your new valve.

Many thanks. My goal is to replace the valve. I've been concerned about changing the olive in case I can't get a good seal with a new olive in the same place. Pipework won't allow me any play. Valid concern and any ideas?

If your goal is being able to turn the valve with more ease as its seems very close to the bottom rail,you could just refix the existing in the opposite orientation.The nuts look the similar size from your photo.

Or is the valve defective ?

It's snapped. So just looking to replace it.

thanks. that was one of the valves I'd tried.
The thread going into the compression nut is around 23.3mm diameter, just putting a caliper across the visible threads.

Thats a good reason not to fit the same valve

Consider the above valves,they will need nut/olive exchange and maybe a hex key to remove the tail.

Its straight forward stuff even diy possible.good luck
