Where to put TV socket and Satellite point by fireplace

Hi All,

I am having my house plastered, and I have also had the old fireplace removed. I will be having an electric decorative one fitted, I am also thinking where is the TV socket usually fitted ?

High up to the front of the fireplace (the face)
The side (depth) of the fireplace high up

These days, along with a number of other outlet types, as these days one traditional coax socket is not enough.

You can get them with unused euro module apertures so that you can mix'n'match whatever "data" sockets you want.

Or smaller ones

It upsets me Hager only make those plates in decorative and not just white plastic

I wouldn't fit those multi plates. Might look attractive (relative to an array of standard plates) but think about the amount of cabling you have to manage whenever you want to work on anything in it.
But as to the original question ... put the sockets where they will be usable and discrete, which is all determined by your room layout and proposed TV location.

I simply would not go for that kind of make, is there any particular one that you had recommend ? Was thinking something like this

Sorry - I'm not able to recommend any particular one. It's just that I've seen the stream of people here moaning about their failed Opti-Mysts.

I guess good advice would be to be wary of any fire which uses the same basic system of ultrasonic transducers to create a fine water mist for the flame effect.
