I have a very high mains flow rate - which combi is best?

Hi, this is probably a common subject I realise but I'm hoping for a specific answer to my own circumstances. I'm looking to upgrade to a combi boiler see and am a little alarmed by some things I've read with regards to the flow rate of the mains water going into the boiler and how this can effect the temperature coming out.

I've measured my flow rate (from the kitchen cold tap) and make it around 30 litres a minute as in just ten seconds 5 litres came out! It's a real gusher! So as it's so high (from what I've read anything in double figures seems to be pretty good) will that impact on the water temperature coming out of the shower (I assume that the pressure wont be an issue!)? The shower here is a straightforward on/off one with a separate control for the temperature. And if this is an issue then what kw size would be best in order to ensure I continue to get a hot shower? I've been quoted for a 30kw or 32kw (small 2 bed 1 bathroom house) but wondering now if either would be enough. Many thanks in advance for any help.

Fit a flow Restrictor

If you must have a combi, a Vaillant ecoTEC Exclusive 843 would make best use of the available performance, but even that will only give you 18 l/min. An unvented cylinder would be a better option if you want to make use of your full incoming flow rate

Thanks muggles - not too fussed about getting as high a flow coming out as there is in (current shower flow is only around 6litres a minute so would be very happy with the 12/13 LPM range the ones I've been quoted for deliver) just not sure if such a high flow going into the combi would be too much for it to get up to temperature, especially now it's getting colder.

when your combi is installed your installer should set up the flow rate appropriate to whichever boiler you choose
