Baxi Solo 24HE

Baxi boilers on the whole are Ok but the same as other boiler manufactures. sometimes they create or have a boiler made for them which is a let down ;).

Baxi produced (or had it made by others) the barcelona condensing boiler, your boiler is in the same family but with a lot of upgraded parts.

your boiler can be repaired but you need a specialist engineer who is experienced on your boiler range (there are some here).

You mention chopping out your baxi he,great idea its done 10 years and may have not been initially set up correctly or serviced correctly over the years and you dont want to be spending more money on it.

Dont think you will be buying a baxi boiler thou.

Good luck

Thanks to you both for your replies and honest opinions...not really what I was hoping for but I guess I've got to face facts and get it replaced I know that British gas are doing an interest free deal on new boilers at the moment (assuming I get a choice of make) which should i go for ?? The deal runs out end of December so I'd better get a move on...i beliee you get a 5 year parts and labour with it too for about £26 a month

probably a worcester then :ROFLMAO: , don't you realise your paying a lot more with BG and money for your old boiler is just b@llocks to be honest . well if you don't mind bending over and grabbing your ankles and singing please be gentle :)

I'm not really getting anywhere... is there anyone who knows of a Baxi "specialist" engineer in my area who I could contact please. Yes, I'm now fully aware that Baxi isn't a premium brand... again, I DID NOT choose it !!! All I want to do is see if it can be repaired by somebody who actually knows how to.... not too much to ask really

It's not really interest free. The prices are hiked to include the cost of credit plus you're paying over the odds anyway. Don't get BG to install your boiler unless you need the install complete by tomorrow.
