Switch ‘RCD Controlled Circuits’ tripping after new extension

To the OP, was it the big switch ban all sheds has circled that tripped? And not the similar one further to the left that says main switch? If you switch off the"oven" switches does the ovens "cookers" go off? How about the switches marked "hob"

Ban all sheds I just want to confirm everything as there appears to be some switch confusion, and the op admitted it was very busy in the house at the time.

You appear to have 2 RCDs in that board- one (in the middle) is labelled as MAIN SWITCH which isn't helping anyone

That was first noted right at the start (post #4). However, that second RCD (the one presumably serving the two circuits labelled 'ovens') is apparently not tripping (when, I think we are being told, the ovens stop working).

Kind Regards, John

Just to close off my original post - the electrician finally came back and disconnected each competent one at a time. It took a few visits as the tripping out would sometimes take a few days to reoccur. Eventually he checked the smoke alarms and found a wrong connection and we have not had the switch trip for about a week. Fingers crossed this was the only problem causing it to trip.

Good news but that’s odd. Smokes are powered 24/7 so should have caused the problem consistently but if it’s fixed it’s fixed
