With out Farage there may well have been no EU vote.

he would not get any type of award as he upset the establishment (simples)

Sorry Noesall, but you're wrong I'm afraid, and if your knowledge of politics was as good as your building work, you'd be a man amongst men. But Cameron knew that if he didn't give the people what Farage was pushing for - a vote on whether to leave or stay in the EU - the Tories would start losing votes to UKIP, and if that happened, then the Tory vote would get split, and Labour would get elected. You're right when you say that the Tories did the referendum, but it wasn't a Tory idea whatsoever. Cameron was so arrogant that he could handle the voters (hence the him saying that if voting made a difference, they wouldn't let you do it) and was such an ardent EU supporter, that he didn't bother to challenge the EU, and they told him were to stick it. That allied with the Remain fear campaign, and the rest was history as they say.

Glegg is a slimy nerr do well, and doesn't deserve his knighthood, but I'm not sure that Farage does yet either. I think he'll get his reward after we're out, and after he's stopped being an MEP, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he isn't put into the Lords.

he'll probably get a job on a golf course, or in a hotel.

Tony Blair probably deserves credit for his role in getting the UK out of the EU although he would deny it, his plot to Europeanise Britain backfired big time, people had been grumbling about the EU for years but when he opened the doors to mass immigration from Eastern Europe that was conceivably the straw that broke the camel's back.

You are silly.
The TORY Prime Minister David Cameron announced there would be a referendum on the EU. Then, a TORY concept, 'Vote Leave' was dreamt up by faithful TORY quitters and carried out by the TORY party and sought voters confidence with an outrageous campaign of misdirection and outright lies.

No mention of Farage or his pathetic party. He was just a sideshow. Always was and always will be. You can not show otherwise. Knighthood my erse.
Camoron only called a referendum because he thought it would be a walkover for the remainers, Nigel Farage and UKIP had been around for years and had not been making much headway with the electorate until Blair's disastrous policies gave them a leg up ,so maybe TB should get a knighthood for his contribution to Brexit.
