We got a wall mounted unit waste trap fitted which plumber says “we should cut drawer” I don’t want to do that. He fitted a standard waste trap. . Can you get waste traps with less height? Current the drawer doesn’t come forward enough.

McAlpine waste might have an answer. I know there is a fitting for 40mm waste that allows this.

Look at SSINLET2 and MACVALVE

Not saying this is the answer to your prayers, but it will be a ray of hope:whistle:

mrbg07546 are you still using the same plumber who had difficulty with your vr66 & vsmart install,12+ pages (y)

You r plumber needs to search for a 'furniture basin waste trap' no need to butcher your drawers

There's loads of low level profile traps available for basins with drawers, wirquin do a few low profile waterless traps, so do unitrap and there are others. You also get units with cut out drawers to accommodate normal traps. Tell your plumber to get his finger out, do his job properly and find one of them.

Wickes have a offsetting thing, we used that to make more cupboard space, it's called a space saver trap

You do, but they're usually cut/modified to suit.
No Dan not normally, normally it's sink base unit with doors to accommodate the depth of the basin.....And if there's drawer fronts they're usually fake.

I can't imagine there be enough room to fit a waste with a drawer in front.

As Dan mentions, there are loads of vanity units these days with drawers and the top drawer's are shaped to fit a normal trap, fit them all the time. Can't get loads in them mind you
