No doubt you can point me to where I said that?
It may well not happen anyway. If it does, you'll be alright, high flying around the world in your top job. FWIW I didn't give a fook when I voted, still don't ...

It was a glib response to your glib response.
Did you think you had the monopoly on glib responses?
Perhaps I could have, as glibly said, that mitch only shows concern for me as a professional. he has no concern for millions of other professionals, backpackers, and other travellers.

It was a glib response, just like yours.
Or are you claiming that your glib responses are glib responses, but my glib responses are lies?

Oh yes, I can see you only engage in intelligent adult conversations. :)

How are all those EU embassies working for you? I expect one of them may be helping George with his British citizenship application :ROFLMAO:

I used to try to engage intelligently with you, as an adult, but as you repeatedly, persistently and intentionally misrepresented my comments, demonstrated that your responses were immature and juvenile, I gave up and resorted to mimicking your behaviour.

You seem to be under the impression that a traveller rarely needs the assistance of an embassy. I suggest that you peruse this website:
https://www.clements.com/resources/articles/Why-You-Should-Get-to-Know-Your-Home-Countrys-Embassy
As they say, passports do get lost or stolen (or simply expire), crime, accidents, sickness and other emergencies do happen while you are abroad.

I have had several reasons to contact embassies in other countries, in the one instance, the nearest UK embassy was considerably further away ( I am talking 1000s of miles) than the nearest alternative EU embassy, in another country. A possible workable solution (which turned out satisfactory) was achieved via a more local 'non-UK embassy' office, after telephone discussions and suitable arrangements agreed with the distant UK embassy. It was a problem exacerbated by the distance to the UK embassy.
On another occasion I was able to find one possible workable solution via the telephone. If that solution had been deemed unacceptable, for any reason, it would have required considerable travel.
And on another occasion, there was no suitable embassy available in the country, in which I originally needed the contact. It was not that urgent, so I waited until I was further along in my travels, and in another country, and there was a suitable embassy available.

Damn! Damn! I have reverted to responding to your trolling with intelligent responses.
I must try to remember with whom I am engaging next time. And respond to your trolling with suitable similar trolling responses.

Couldn't you have found a nice chap in Libya to get you home? I hear they do a good deal on a cruise to the UK, via Spain, Malta and Italy. All inclusive, no passport or visa needed.

You seem to be under the impression that a traveller rarely needs the assistance of an embassy.

I'm not under that impression.

One might deduce that is the reason I didnt say that.

What I said is very simple:

How many countries have an EU embassy but do not have a British Embassy?

And on another occasion, there was no suitable embassy available in the country,
No, I must admit.....there is no British embassy in Narnia. Try the other side of the wardrobe

blimey r bee . so why have you had to contact all these embassies , what u been up to :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:

How many countries have an EU embassy but do not have a British Embassy?
I have no idea, neither do you.............until we need an embassy and realise that there is not one available. And the situation is not fixed. The global instability is fluid and one can never predict when, which or why embassies open and close.
It is as predictable as your hard drive failing..... you know it is going to happen, you just cannot predict when.

Embassies: Closures

HL5173
To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many (1) UK embassies, and (2) UK consular offices, have been closed since 6 May 2010, and where those closures took place.
Operations were suspended in Tehran, Damascus, Tripoli and Sana’a for security reasons.

I see the trolls have no sensible contribution to make so they have reverted to doing what they do best: trolling.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
It is what they do. It is what they are.

At least they have not reverted to their usual lies, deceit and misinterpretations........yet.

I have no idea, neither do you.........
So your argument therefore falls apart.

You are saying after Brexit there is a concern EU embassies wont be available to help UK citizens.
But you dont actually know if there are any countries that have an EU embassy, but no UK embassy.

I note your link to UK reopens embassy is 2015
And Egypt 2014
Thats up to date :ROFLMAO:

Perhaps you would be kind enough to explain how I am trolling.

So your argument therefore falls apart.
I see you have reverted to your usual silliness.
Read my response, that you have previously decided to ignore:

The list of previously closed embassies was a reinforcement of my comment that embassies close for reasons of global instability, which are unpredictable, as to when, why or where they occur.
That list was provided as a response to a question that was asked in 2016!
The link reference provided the date!

No doubt a similar up-to-date question would reveal more up-to-date data!

If you are going to try and engage in intelligent discussion at least try to contribute intelligent responses.

I see you have reverted to your usual silliness.
Read my response, that you have previously decided to ignore:

Ha ha, amusing.

Ok, so youve shown you cant answer my question, because it proves you are utterly wrong.

Let explain it tomyou in ever so simple languagr:

You claim, once UK has left EU, there is likely to be a problem because UK citizens wont be able to make use of EU embassies?

In what circumstance would become an issue:
In sny country thst has an EU embassy, but not a UK embassy.

So far, you have not come up with a single country where that exists now.

So you claim is rubbish.

embassies close for reasons of global instability, which are unpredictable, as to when, why or where they occur

True, in times of war or major instability in a region, both UK and EU embassies will close, so your wriggling answer has no purpose.

So, if you want tomprove your claim is valid either:

Show me where my question is not valid or

Show where in the world, the situation exists.
