Mondeo to be scrapped w/up to 24k jobs

Maybe premium brand, but it's just a badge on some of the smaller offerings from the likes of BMW, Merc, etc. Their small stuff is quite ordinary and some of it is nasty. Little hatchback Mercs, what's that all about? BMW 1 series with faulty French engines. Jeez. Good con trick by the premium brands to move lots of metal though. Stick on a posh badge and let the punters kid themselves.
Br...t will sort all that out (probably)

True, I had a Superb Elegance, better built, better speced than any car of a similar price. Nearly as good as my Scorpio Ultima.

I see that you like large barges as well. I've always liked the Superb, and almost bought one once. Got an Omega instead. Nice drive, but I think the Skoda has more of a quality feel. The omega was seriously cheap for the spec, too good to miss.

I drive a premium brand.... albeit on a 54 plate (it ain't that shiny either)

Actually as its a 54 plate Jag its really a premium Ford.

I've had an Octavia Elegance, great car fantastic equipment and a price many thousands below that of an equivalent up-market stablemate.
My Mum has just bought a Yeti Elegance, also a great car.
Everyone I know with a Skoda thinks well of them.

A friend of mine has a Skoda, one of the small hatch backs. From new and they flywheel has gone before it hit 15k. Common fault apparently. They wriggled out of covering it under warranty because he had an oil and filter change done by someone other than a skoda give us your wallet garage. Not everyone I know thinks well of them.

I have a new BMW that I neither own nor can afford.

I've been thinking about getting a motor I can't afford too as it goes. It being a millstone of debt is the real off putting factor.
