Are the people who voted for Brexit disappointed that companies are scarpering tout de suite?

Dyson's HQ is off to Singapore (...and he's a Brexiteer!) and P&O are re-registering their entire UK fleet under the flag of Cyprus.

I'm sure there are other examples.

Is this what they had in mind when they voted to leave?

If you're so bloody sure, why don't all you remoaners get ready to put all your money into the Euro on March 29th just as we are about to leave? You'll make a bloody fortune changing them back to sterling on March 30th when the pound tanks won't you?

Remember, pictures or it didn't happen!

And they're not fearing for the future under a Tory Government???

Let's worry about a threat not yet posed and ignore a problem that's right now.

That makes sense!

Is that what you're going to do?

Not as much as they fear a goverment led by Corbyn.

They are concerned about Brexit and life and business after the UK leaves the EU and have contingency plans in place. They trade with companies on mainland Europe and are certain that the need for companies to continue cross border trading will overcome the obstacles that Brexit might create at the UK-EU borders.

What do they fear about a Corbyn Government? I don't fear a Corbyn government as you can vote them out after 5 years or even before if there is a vote of no confidence.

They fear the future of the UK if Corbyn becomes Prime Minister
No - "they" (as in the owners/directors) fear for their personal financial future, as in fear that it might become less unequal that it currently is.

40 years of Tory and Tory Lite policies have put them in the position where they get more and more, and the vast majority get less and less.

It has put them in the position where the boss of Persimmon gets paid 882 times as much as the average worker he employs.

It has put them in the position where if ordinary working people were to get the same share of national income as they did in the 70's the median wage would go up from £29.6K to £35K.

So yes, of course they fear anything which might derail their little gravy train.

Funny, isn't it, how higher corporation and income tax rates in Germany vs here don't seem to have damaged their economy, the strength of their manufacturing sector, etc.

Thought they'd already moved to China, going by the crappy cheap plastic they use nowadays.

Or not
German companies avoid billions in taxes
According to calculations by a think tank, German companies here massively avoid corporate taxes. But unlike Google and Apple, they exploit loopholes in German tax laws rather than transfer profits to tax safe havens
