Last One Out Turn The Light Off...

I thought you would be an ardent supporter of UK producers. Why are you buying inferior quality produce from all over the world? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?
That’s what was in my local Sainsbury. I buy what’s local. To me. Who says they are inferior? Apart from that, half that stuff can’t even be grown in this country.

My point is, we're buying those from non EU countries anyway. Why's that if the EU is that bloody good? Let me see.....I'd say at a guess that they’re too effing expensive, that’s why. Great partners they are!

Maybe, but a quick look in my fridge shows Apricots, grapes and nectarines from South Africa, a net of garlic from China, carrots from Northern Ireland, parsnips from the UK, potatoes from Egypt, strawberry’s and rosemary from Ethiopia, Basil from Kenya, dates from Tunisia, bananas from Columbia, apples from New Zealand, tomatoes from Senegal, oranges from Chile and broccoli from Scotland. There is literally no fresh fruit and veg from the EU in my fridge apart from a pack of lemons. Safe to say I’ll not be lacking in fruit and veg if we have a hard Brexit. Next!
OK - here's your Next:

Next tell us how much of that produce is here because of bilateral trade deals with the producing countries, and how much because of trade deals between the EU and those countries.

You need a new atlas - yours is seriously broken:

You just don't understand it at all, do you.

Is your ignorance, and that of your fellow travellers, wilful or innate?

Are those countries local to you or are Supermarkets nearer because that's where I buy my food from. If they are getting most of it from non EU countries already, they can just buy more if EU members want to be funny about selling to us.

Do us all a favour and look in your fridge then tell us, honestly, where the majority of your fruit and veg comes from.

No more than they are local to you.

But I am not the one claiming they are.

Is there any point at all in asking you on what basis they would conduct that trade with businesses in these other countries?

And not just for "more", but for all and any of it?

If that's an answer to my question, it looks like your fridge is full of hot air, waffle and bulls hit.

"28% couldn't, 20% didn't, 25% remain, 27% leave. The will of the people?"

No, just the will of the people that could be arsed to vote.

My fridge contains a subset of yours.

It won't include things like strawberries from Ethiopia, garlic from China, basil from Kenya, potatoes from Egypt as I don't hold with that sort of high mileage produce.

And your diversionary tactics won't work.
