Is there a 'better' way to take up to 10mm off skirting boards without taking them off the wall?

Going to have to relevel a floor but don't really want to take all the boards off and risk the plaster on the walls

TIA

10mm where? End of a run? Thickness? Height? Please clarify what you mean

Hire a jamb saw / undercut saw. Or buy a cheap biscuit jointer or use a multitool.

A multitool will be slooooowwwww

Nice one, thanks. A number of options I didnt even knew existed!!! I have a biscuit joiner but feel that could be long winded. My local hire shop doesnt appear to stock a jamb or undercut saw but now know what to go in search for!

A guy on here made his own and nearly lost his wedding tackle

If the floor isn't too bumpy then a tracksaw might be able to be used side on

Hmmmm, some YT angle grinder hacks look like a 'howto' guide to fast track an A&E visit!
The kits are little better than DIY conversions. Wasn't there was a guy who was on here who died as a result of using one of these abortions? Either way, read this if you aren't convinced

BTW jamb saws tend to be the preserve of flooring firms rather than the general building trades - but some commercial flooring suppliers hire them out to customers

Anything running at 10,000 to 12,000 rpm needs to be treated with respect - and is not something you want to stand behind. Wonder if they'll ever ban lock-on switches on angle grinders and make is all go to paddle switches?
