Huh! Peanuts.
Brexit uncertainty has cost Britain £600 million a week - Goldman Sachs
https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-b...00-million-a-week-goldman-sachs-idUKKCN1RD1T8

What’s the £600million being spent on?

:?::?:
Or do you think, "hmmm, what I could have done with that money?"
The UK is 600 million quid worse off, not better off!

Yes, I thought they were saying EU membership costs us £350m a week but Brexit is costing us £600m a week.
So I think your saying it doesn’t cost us as an outgoing but it’s costing us by missing it as an income?
Sigh! You are trying your darnest to do what notch and bodd do, distort the argument. I will explain again!
The £350m a week was supposed to be the savings that we were supposed to have by leaving the EU (It wasn't an accurate figure, it was an exaggerated figure)
So we were supposed to be £350m a week better off, which we could choose to spend on the NHS. This was of course denied immediately following the referendum.

Now instead of being £350m a week (which was an exaggerated figure, we are already £600 million a week worse of) but we haven't left yet!
So, instead of saving £350m a week, we are already losing £600 million a week, and the supposed saving of £350m a week has been proven to be wrong, and anyway, it would not be spent on the NHS.

I make that £950m a week worse off, and counting!
Maybe that estimate includes billions being wasted on the possibility of a No Deal, or the billions being moved out of the UK.

The government paid one bloke (I think he was known as the March 29th Brexit exit secretary) a gazillion £££s per week. Poor sod was made redundant on the 30th. Couldn't find a replacement because they couldn't agree on the next date.
Be fair, noseall, he wasn't made redundant, he quit because he had no work to do.

Your having a party Jason.
Everyone you have invited turns up.
A ring on the bell and a bunch of people want to come in. You don't know these people.
Do you say sorry I have no room. Or do you invite them in. Walk em through the garden and out the gate into your neighbours party she's having that is also packed.

Regardless of their colour nationality or religion. Do you have the moral right to push these people elsewhere.

If you believe you can without asking the party girl, then your an arrogent git.
Bodd is applying his bigoted brain again!
And as usual inventing facts to fit his imagination. Not unusual for Bodd the racist, the liar, the one who resorts to absurdity.
He must assume that only immigrants require housing assistance.
I see bodd doesn't have a favorite tactic, sometimes, it's just plain old racism, other times he prefers lies, and this time he chooses absurdity and distortion.

You think I'd be OK with a block converted to homes full of white English. Some of these white English commit crimes around a town they are new too. A town that offers them a better life. And the decent people who have been moved to this hole deserve better.
Your no better than a people trafficker.

A bit more reading for you.

Melanie a new immigrant to the town tells her story.

It is very scary," says mother-of-four Melanie Smith, sitting on the sofa which doubles as her bed, a few feet from the oven and sink of her one-room studio.

Bloody immigrant.

You think that putting like-minded anti-social people all together in substandard accommodation, cutting back on their access to their entitlements, reducing their existence to the under-class should lead to law-abiding citizens, even though they were anti-social outcasts before?

Your no better than a people trafficker.
Hahaha, from the forum's lying racist.
Your judgement is febrile. Your opinion is bigoted, and your allegations are ridiculous.

Bloody immigrant.
Now you are trying to change your narrative.
Typical lying racist.

Not really. Wether we pay out £350m and have less income off £600m

Or

We pay out £950m and have the same income.

We are still have less money in the pot.

:?::?::confused:
You are not talking sensibly. Until you do, I cannot reason with you.

You are a typical left ring hypocrite

Always right Never wrong.
Perhaps you'd like to explain what Ian was trying to.
The problem is in his maths, not his politics. I think.

Maybe it’s my understanding.

If I gets paid £1500/month and my outgoings are £500 i’m left with £1000.

If my mate gets paid £2000/month and his outgoings are £1000 he’s left with a grand.

If either of our incomes reduce or outgoing increase then we will be out of pocket.

So what I think your saying (and I agree) is that the UK’s income has decreased by the £600m, while we are still paying out the £350m.

Woaa Newsflash! That's right its called MPs attempting to thwart and reverse brexit for the last two years, instead of just getting on with it..that's what has cost us. Do you guys talk to people outside your room/road , hey even country. I travel alot and it's fascinating how they see it over the pond. Its absolutely nothing to do with our vote or 'brexiteers' we merely indicated what we wanted to do just as people did to remain? You could argue collectively we've all created this mess.

What I have noticed about leavers is they have moved the narrative.

They dont want to talk about the pros and cons of Brexit nor do they want to agree what Brexit actually will be.

The only narrative that Brexiteers have currently comprise of 2 things only:

MPs are thwarting democracy

or

we just need to get on with it.

I dont see evidence that Mps have tried to thwart Brexit, what I see is parliament struggling to square the circle. The weak deal that is being negotiated reflects a 52 - 48 split.

I do agree also that remainers have not discussed what they think a future relationship within the EU should look like.

Let's try again. You are nearly there.

Suppose your income is as you say: if I gets paid £1500/month and my outgoings are £500 i’m left with £1000.
But you are offered another post, with less outgoings, say only £100 a month. You decide to go for it, but before you have even left your first job, even though you have given in your notice, you realise that the salary in the new job is connected to and dependent on you selling your current house and buying another. Nothing wrong with that on the face of it. Until you realise that your current house value has plunged in value due to local conditions, the same conditions has not affected the value of your prospective house purchase, and the mortgage rate has rocketed from your current fixed rate mortgage. The net result is that instead of just reducing your outgoings, the overall situation is that you will be much poorer than you first thought. But it's nearly too late. You need to revoke your notice with your current employer.
