Fridge Freezer Combi - Fridge too warm

Hi all.
We have an integrated combi fridge freezer which two and a half years old and the fridge compartment is at 19 degrees. I set it at 5 degrees but it stays at 19.
It's a CDA FW852/2 non self defrosting type.
I defrosted it a couple of weeks ago because it was getting noisy. I defrosted it again today but no joy.
I have been advised that it takes 24 hours to completely defrost and that is what i should do to ensure there is no frost at all.
Does this sound right?

I'm not familiar with your freezer but some can take 48 hours to defrost if they have an area where a large block of ice builds up. I notice that CDA give a 2 year warranty & 5 year parts warranty, if yours falls into those times.

Thank you for replying.
I've emptied it and will leave it 48 hours just in case.
It's 2.5 years old so it is covered for parts but not labour.
I'll try this first...

if it blows the cold air through ducts in the back, that's where they get choked with ice. It's out of sight and difficult to melt. If not defrosted for long enough, they can still be blocked.

Thaw it out till it stops dripping, inside and round the back, and is dry. If it does it again within a couple of months, the defrost heaters or control may have failed.

Sometimes they get frosted if the door is left open, or doesn't seal.

Thank you for the previous two replies.
I have used the 6 year regulation law before and was successful, but because I am no longer on speaking terms with the kitchen appliance suppliers (long story regarding £14k on a new kitchen) I don't have a receipt for individual items.
JohnD, I can't access the rear of the fridge/freezer as it is integrated :-/
I'd need to remove it first which is a two man job (brother will help me).
I don't think this model is a self defrost one.

usually there is a drip dish on top of the motor, where defost water from the fridge goes and evaporates from the waste heat. I don't know if yours will have this. Maybe the instructions will say. Sometimes they overflow if there is a lot of frost melting out. The dish tends to fill with dirt and fungus, so worth cleaning out if you can. I once spilt water out of one and it got into the electrical starter relay, which I had to replace as it burnt out.

ok so I defrosted the fridge/freezer for 24 hours (couldn't wait 48) and turned it on.
Now neither the fridge or the freezer are getting cold
I can hear the coolant gurgling but that's all that's going on.
Any ideas??

if the ducts are still blocked with ice, you have wasted your time.

that one looks straightforward.

sometimes the ducts or casing are jammed in place or stuck to the iceblocks, and you can't get them out without risk of breakage, until it's melted.

I've taken a look inside my freezer and there isn't anything at all resembling the panel taken off.
I'm still going to leave it 48 hours though.

I bought a Beko for new kitchen, after a month it wouldn't get below 8 degrees.

Two weeks of engineer visits and it was written off due to low refrigerant.

Mines also integrated and highly annoying that this happened but hey ho fridge replaced and sorted.

ok i'm back again, i know, i know, i'm a pain.
So after 48 hours I turned the fridge/freezer on today and neither the fridge or the freezer is getting cold (left it on for 3 hours).
I could hear the refrigerant circulating and gurgling, but nothing getting remotely cold.
I removed the fridge/freezer and put it in my garage.
I took a photo of the bottom rear of it and wonder if anyone could identify the various parts and how I could test them.
There seems very few parts and I can't even find a fan that I see mentioned everywhere.
It's almost like a throw away item. That can't be right can it?
