Remain ! Jeremys going to save the day !

That's a great link (y)
the 'no dealers' will dismiss it all as project fear

It's succint and to the point and really hard to argue against. The fact that farmers are now protesting after they were misled by Owen Patterson and voted for Brexit.

The reason why I keep on mentioning that lies from polticians matter is because People are not experts in every field they need to rely on others to give them honest and candid advice and when they are lied to it breaks down trust.

Would you go to a Dr who lies all the time yet you accept it from a Politician who can have just as major impact on your life and that of your family and friends.

Whether you are pro or against Brexit you must be against all forms of lying from politicians.

I find it all rather odd.

Jo Swinsons voting records during the coalition makes her more aligned with the Tories than Lib dems or Labour.

Still its clear Festive fancies her :ROFLMAO:

I thought i enjoyed being juvenile ;)

Anyway you getting the message i really dont like her? How?! I have no issue with her being THE FIRST FEMALE LEADER!!!!!

But that aside, if i was to redesign parliament tomorrow i think one of the first things i would insist on is 50/50 male female ratio as close as possible, i think you can agree most of the wars round the world occur due to two primary causes:

A) Testosterone
B) Religion

For example.. Looking at some Muslim dominated areas around the world, it leads to male dominated areas (as the women aren't allowed out!) leads to lots of bored men rowing and fighting all chanting god is great as they destroy eachother, what's that all about?
Its beyond F'd up.

Bit of a thread hijack there sorry..

As said..economic opinions..no fact involved..no right or wrong involved..

That link had nothing to do with economic opinions.
It is discussing third country status rules that have to be applied as a result of no deal.

Context: Earlier, the French Embassy tweeted out a fact-sheet on what UK plant and animal product exporters will have to do in order to bring their goods into the EU.

It's a procedure including paperwork and at-border vet checks.

The very definition of a non-tariff barrier.
3/ There's nothing surprising in this document. The French are planning to apply to the UK the same checks and obligations as they do to any 3rd country supplier

Boris will sort it..chill .

Can any of you remoaners tell me what WE can’t do by ourselves that we can being in the EU ? I don’t mean like produce wine that itay/france do because obviously we don’t need it (well most of us). I mean why can’t we be self sufficient ? Sure, like any change it’s gonna be hard at first but in the long run I can’t see why we can’t do it.

It is because the UK are in a trade alliance with the EU.

During the 40 odd years of being in, the EU, the EU have made trade agreements all over the world. Those agreements are the EUs, not the UKs.

We do huge trade directly with the EU. Everything complies with an EU standard.
That means there are no checks. We can sell to 27 other countries with the same standards, no checks anywhere.

If we leave we lose all those agreements overnight. We become a third country. To maintain frictionless trade we need a deal -that ends 'no deal'.

Externally to the EU, we would have not a single trade agreement in place. Yes we can trade under standard WTO terms, but almost no other country does that.

Negotiating new trade agreements takes years - because its like bartering. But the UK has to have instant trade deals in place.....to trade, as we do now.

In the event of a no deal, the UK would of course get some form of FTA -it would be stupid to think we would not.....but that ends 'no deal'.

Also, say we get a FTA with the EU, just a temporary one to ease the short term problems......all great......until we go off and negotiate say a US deal. Then there would be new standards, new regulations. We no longer then conform to EU regulations and become a 3rd country.

It all comes down to trade agreements and regulatory standards.

In theory we could be self sufficient, but all dang paperwork stops it being possible.

I realise its all very boring.......and not easy to put in a soundbite and sell in a campaign.

off you pop.

It has not gone T*TS up yet

Of course there is the possibility of bumping into Noseall  on the piste

Blimey

No wonder they all hate us in Europe they probably think we are a nation of nosealls

Let's face it he is hardly an ambassador for the UK
