Double entry radiator valves flow and return

Can anyone tell me for certainty which is the flow and return, I'm guessing the flow is the pipe on the left of the valve?, there are no arrow markings on the double entry valve indicating the flow and return

This will allow me to fit the new pipe into the right 22mm pipework below the floorboards

The flow is on the Left,maybe wire brush it and see the arrow.

There are no arrows whatsoever
Ripping it all out

yes the flow is on the left in your valve, when you say ripping it all out do you mean replacing the rad and the twin entry valve

its often the best idea to do that and start fresh with a brand new system

Yep upgrading to 15mm and new rads

Highly recommended those twin entry valves can be a bit of a nightmare for leaking, most modern Thermostatic radiator valves are bi-directional anyway so wouldnt matter if you got the flow and return mixed up

But if i got the flow and return wrong on the 22mm main run would that not be a problem?

Nope wouldnt be a problem, older TRVs used to be noisy when trying to close if fitted the wrong way round but modern ones dont, only designer vertical rads sometimes have a baffle installed so the flow can only connect to a specific side , standard rads dont have baffles so it doesnt matter
