I want my new dormer to look the same as the existing. The existing ones have the firings arranged so that the water runs backwards toward the house roof then off one side of the dormer and down the tiles. No guttering anywhere and a pretty clean look.

I thought I'd read somewhere that regs don't allow this arrangement any more, but can't find anything about it. Will I be okay replicating it on the new one?

Thanks

I can't see anyone noticing these days as most people I walk past on the street these days are looking at their phones.

I am not aware of any regulation that prohibits what you are proposing with the dormer roof. What makes you think it might not be allowed ?
ps assuming it is detailed properly of course.
