What happened to ban all sheds

I don't really know him as he was only here for a few weeks (maybe more) after I joined but I notice in the 'related threads' below, there's a 2007 thread called 'whatever happened to ban all sheds?'.

I hope I didn't bully him.

More take him to task for throwing insults around at the drop of a hat.

Ha, ha. I've got a post on that 2007 thread.
Clearly a clever bloke, just a massive pita.

Biggest issue is he knew very well what was the right thing to do. The "by the book" method firmly ingrained, great we should all know this. But as most of us here know regardless of the job we carry out that the book way and the real world way are not necessarily the same thing or identical. BAS always seemed to be a PIA towards people being pragmatic and living in the real world. Just not realistic. If he'd have dialled it back a bit, things could/would have been different.

Don't think he ever stated he was a qualified electrician?, just a bloke who reads the regs a lot?..

Just don't mention spot lights or downlighters..

ISTR that he said he was just a DIYr.
Funny, a google of "ban all sheds 2019" brings you back to similar conversations about him from as far back as 2007 etc. lol

I used to find it rather amusing that BAS was quite happy to say he was more intelligent, more clever than others.

Yet he spent hour after hour writing posts denigrating others in order to try and prove it.

He was very intelligent but never stated what he did for a living.

I actually think he was probably on the Autism Spectrum, maybe with Aspergers Syndrome. People who have this, such as Chris Packem the zoologist, have very high brain functionality. This means they process and store information at a far faster speed than most people. They have very high memory retention and also tend to do things in a certain way they have been taught/learn to do. Their life runs on very strict guidelines and deviating from these guides, or overloading their information capacity can lead them to have 'meltdowns' where they seem unable to see logic or reason if it doesn't conform to their teachings.

Sounds like the average remainer.
