Catalonia, EU turns a blind eye.

the blame game

There's no blame game - simply a statement of fact.

Is a hard border in the UK's interest? - no
Is a hard border in Ireland's interest? - no
Can the UK and Ireland come to an agreement by bi-lateral negotiation? - no

So who is insisting on the need for a hard border?

So who is insisting on the need for a hard border?

You seriously don't know?

Brexers want to end Freedom of movement. So there must be a border to keep foreigners out.

Brexers don't want to be in the single market. So there must be a border to control movement of goods.

Brexers don't want to conform to EU regulations. So there must be a border to keep non-compliant goods out.

So who insists on the conditions which require a border? Brexers do.

So what you're basically doing is downplaying Scotland's future potential and boosting Catatonia's...

All in order to fit your dodgy reasoning...

There are a number of uncertainties, but one thing is true...

Scotland is currently a 'wealthier' region than Catatonia!
It doesn't matter if Scotland is wealthier than Catalonia, you can't compare like with like.
Catalonia is the wealthiest part of Spain, 25% of Spain's exports are from Catalonia.
Catalans are only 16% of the Spanish population but account for 19% of GDP, they also banned bullfighting which is no bad thing.

In relative terms Catalonia is wealthier than Scotland.

That map hardly shows a 52 48 split

All it shows is that leave areas are lower density.

The EU referendum results map of the UK’s north is a striking sight. Lonely Remain islands float in a sea of Leave counting areas. In the North West, North East and Yorkshire and Humber, 11 out of 125 counting areas voted remain.

Hartlepool and North East Lincolnshire both voted 69.9 per cent to leave, and Blackpool with a count of 67.5 per cent summarised the feeling: the North wants out

It is no coincidence that remain areas tend to be in densely populated cities with high numbers of immigrants.

Yes, it's noticeable that people who haven't met foreigners in daily life are the most anti-foreigner.

Ah, so now it's in 'relative terms'...

What are you relating it to?

Scotland sure as hell is 'wealthier' than many EU countries!

So why have you changed your stance?

Because you told us before that...

The difference with Catalan is they would be a wealthy independent country.

Nothing 'relative' in that statement

Utter rubbish
You are playing the blame game

This is simply a statement of fact:
The UK chose to leave
End of

So Brexiteers should take respinsibilty for that

Immigrants didnt get a vote.

Or do you mean British citizens that were originally from another country.

How far back do you want to go with that? Anglo Saxons, Normans, Romans
Where is your cut off point?

'Brexers' want hard working foreigners to be able to come.
'Brexers' don’t want non-working foreigners and their families to be able to freely come here and be free, for example, to claim child benefits for 'children' that are not even in this country. We want control of the number and type of EU migrants that come here seeking work.
'Brexers' do want to be able to freely buy and sell to the EU - after all, that was what we originally signed up to.
If 'Brexers' want to sell goods to the EU, of course they must ensure they comply with their regulations the same way as anything sold to another country must comply with that country’s regulations but when we want to buy from elsewhere, it’s up to the UK government to set UK standards which may or may not exceed EU requirements.

Same old anti immigrant rant.

People like you are a dream to the conservatives, it makes thrir job so easy.

Will you be supporting a referendum organised by Sinn Fein for NI to join RoI?
There is no comparison between SF and the Catalan independence movement, any referendum organised by SF would be about annexation not independence.
If there were to be a referendum on an independent Ulster I would support that.
