Catalonia, EU turns a blind eye.

Immigrants didnt get a vote.

Or do you mean British citizens that were originally from another country.

How far back do you want to go with that? Anglo Saxons, Normans, Romans
Where is your cut off point?
Labour wants EU citizens to be given full voting rights in the UK.
This includes the right to vote in General elections and referendums.
Do you support that.

You said immigrants living in cities voted for brexit
I said they didnt get a vote
so your argument is rubbish

only British citizens get a vote.

please could you answer why you think not all British citizens should be allowed to vote.

once you have done that, I would be happy to answer your whataboutery

Ah, so now it's in 'relative terms'...

What are you relating it to?

Scotland sure as hell is 'wealthier' than many EU countries!

So why have you changed your stance?

Because you told us before that...

Nothing 'relative' in that statement
Catalonia relative to the rest of Spain is wealthier.
Scotland relative to England is poorer.
So whether Scotland in GDP terms is wealthier than Catalonia is not relevant.

You both manage to avoid answering the direct simple question

So let's try again with a shorter more direct question with multiple choice answers..........

Who is insisting on a hard border?

a) Ireland
b) United Kingdom
c) EU

WRONG

you are deliberately missing out an important question:

Q who chose to leave the EU including the customs union and single market:
A = the UK

as I said originally you just want to play the blame game.
You decided to leave, take responsibility to sort out the problems.

The UK chose to leave, it is the UK's responsibility to deal with the problems.

Except that isn't what you posted

You decided to leave, take responsibility to sort out the problems.

If that isn't apportioning blame then I'm a Dutchman (ironic huh?)

And you still haven't answered the question
Who is insisting on a hard border?

Inconvenient truth?

You decided to leave
You have no idea how I voted

And you still haven't answered the question

its true you havent answered the question.

let me help you:

The UK decided to leave the EU, that creates a problem in Ireland.
But he doesnt like to admit that is a simple incontrovertible truth.

so Newboy blames the EU.

so Newboy blames the EU
Find the post where I have blamed the EU

You seem to be hung up on blame - perhaps if you spent more time on actually addressing issues rather than avoiding the issues and apportioning blame then progress might be made.

For the avoidance of doubt:

The UK referendum resulted in a vote to leave the EU

Now try again

Who is insisting on a hard border?

Ah so the UK decided to leave.
So therefore it is the UK's responsibility to sort out any border issues, if they cant, they have to change their plans.

Perhaps you might like to think what border problems exist in Ireland whilst it is all a member of the EU including the single market and customs union.

What is it you are are struggling to understand?

Who is insisting on a hard border?

The EU doesn't want a hard border, and it agreed terms with the UK government that would avoid one. Smogg and his buddies voted against it.

But the UK wants to put an end to free movement. Do you think that you can keep foreigners out without a border?
