He likely knows no better yet seems obsessively over protective of Israel.

Having said that, hasn't that been the view of Jews all along, thus contributing to all the fuss.
Anything criticising anything to do with Jews is classed as antisemitism and therefore racist.


I really don't understand why seemingly intelligent people in governments and the media cannot point out what simple words mean.
Not all Jews are Semitic; not all Semites are Jewish. Therefore ...

Bibi declared Israel to be a Jewish Nation, and thus any criticism against Israel is now anti-semitic and also 'racist'...

He therefore was saying 'f*ck the arabs', but in his ignorance he didn't realise he was being anti-semitic himself :rolleyes:

Trump of course can be excused of such ignorance, because by default he is simply a corrupt misogynist racist piece of sh*t!

Yes, quite simply, it does - but even more simply it should and does not.

It might have been excusable in Germany at the time as they were the only Semitic people involved but having learned since that it is the wrong word it should have been corrected, but vested interests have instead promoted it for their own aims.

Judaism is the religion of the Jews, so it can't be described as an ethnicity or race.
Jew is regarded as an ethno/religious identity, you can be Jewish by birth even if your parents practice a religion other than Judaism or you can be a convert to Judaism.

Milliband (I forget which one, the one that was leader I think) describes himself as an atheist Jew, so it obviously has more meaning to jews than just the religious aspect.
 
The term anti Semitic should be amended to anti Jewish.
If someone didn't like Poles could that person be described as anti Slav or anti Polish.
The Jews represent only a small fraction of the Semitic people's of the world.

Questioning whether the term should be anti Semitic or anti Jewish you have to be careful , you could be accused of being anti semantic.

Why not? You could argue that people who celebrate Christmas, enjoy watching their kids do the nativity play and happily sing Christmas carols, but do not believe in God, are Atheist Christians.

I am sure there are many similar examples out there from all religious groups, where some family members do not follow the religion but enjoy the cultural aspects of their religious heritage.
