Adding new circuit to a full consumer unit?

In mothers house before the rewire the consumer unit was full and wanted new kitchen, so selected the cooker supply, and fitted a 45A MCB (largest that would fit that consumer unit) and had it feed a kitchen consumer unit that powered all kitchen items, so one 45 amp became 5 RBCO's feeding other stuff.

Yes, I had it fitted in our house that I renovated over a couple of years. I’ll get the electrician to label it when he comes to finish off.

I could have done but now I know a bit more i’ll understand my options better. Specially if there’s unused ones, I thought anything unused would be blanked off.

Ok. Just post a photo or post a copy of the circuit schedule that is one page of the installation certificate.

If I could have fitted the consumer unit I wouldn’t be asking about adding on. And surely it would come with blanks?

And quite reasonably installed.

You have that spare slot at the left-hand side your electrician can change that 16A MCB for whatever size breaker the hot tub needs.

1. If you go back a page , you will find 'Taylor' told Ian to turn it off first before removing the cover.

2. Also, Ian is not stupid enough to touch anything or do anything stupid.
