We need to put a simple partition between two kids' loos. No doors, really just a panel affixed to the floor and wall only needs to be big enough a toddler cannot see over it. Not going to get vandalised like pub loos either ;)

I can find toilet partition/cubicle fixings online quite easily though only in 12/3 and 18/20mm sizes. But I cannot find something to use for the partition board. Toilet retailers are asking £300 for something that's far too big and over-spec. B&Q sell furniture board super cheap but not in good sizes really.

It needs to be wipeable but the room doesn't have a shower or bath so while it'll get splashed, that's all.

Can anyone tell me what my local B&Q/builders' merchant might stock that's suitable? Some sort of finished board basically?

Nice thick piece of PVC? Probably from a plastic mouldings specialist though.

If you get a large rectangle, you can cut the outward facing corner into a nice long curve, so it's not sharp.....

You can buy tile effect boards/cladding - clad both sides of a bit of studwork and trim the edges.

I had a quick look and could only find grey and it's still pricey but could be an option. It's not a material I've worked with, how is its stiffness compare to ply in terms of choosing the right thickness?

We don't really have the room I think to lose 3-4" though it's an interesting idea. I imagine we can't really go smaller than 3x2 even for such a small area, we might just be able to get away with 2x2 depending on the thickness of the cladding.

It seems like if we had a piece of sheet material ready to go, it would be a matter of minutes to install it. I don't know if 600mm is too shallow but this is the closest I found however my B&Q doesn't stock it anyway: https://www.diy.com/departments/gloss-white-semi-edged-chipboard-furniture-board-l-2-5m-w-600mm-t-18mm

Could you make something yourself if you had a sheet of something?

I'm thinking an internal house door, a piece of worktop, or a tallish door off a kitchen cupboard or an old wardrobe? If you use any local websites like Nextdoor you can sometimes pick all of these things up for free if you keep an eye out

If thickness is an issue just clad a sheet of 18mm OSB or plywood, or paint/varnish a piece of marine ply.
Whatever you do, as you'll know if you have boys, it'll be "hosed down" on a regular basis - bandq chipboard won't cut it.

That could be possible. Kitchen boards would be ideal if we could get one the right size; worktop would work except it's typically finished on one side only?

Why wouldn’t you just use cardboard? Then replace it as often as needed. Pick up cheap corrugated sheets on eBay for example.

Cut it and decorate it what ever is needed. Easy to mount as well. You could use fablon to decorate and protect it.
Still not sure why you want to do this but dont over think it

Buy a tall end panel from a kitchen range, cut it in half and back to back it.

Or buy a shower screen and paint it/ stick vinyl on it

Definitely a lot easier if it can be no more than 600mm deep I need to go mock that up :)

you can get readymade laminated chipboard panels for that purpose, and readymade frames they slot into, and readymade hinges and adjustable feet.

I think I saw them in the Egger catalogue, but it was a while ago.

I've seen the board in 2400x1200 sheets, and bigger. You may need a local laminates supplier. Shopfitters use them a lot.

I've seen people selling all this for commercial bathrooms but as I say they cost a fortune and I'm not sure if that's because it's a special material, or just because they are big. Designed as a modular system for a whole row of cubicles.

If I can find a laminate that's up to purpose the rest seems easy, I'll look locally - thanks.
