I have a nightmare problem, our garden and always been a slight gradient from the back of the house to the fence. I decided that I'd had enough of the wasted garden and had a structural engineer define a retaining wall. While we have all been on lockdown I decided to begin to dig out some of the area. In the process I have hit a manhole with the 1m diameter (approx) x 1m deep. My guessing is if I remove the concrete lid and one of the two rings I should be approx right height....I can add a few bricks if required to lift the height. Problem is how the hell do I lift the concrete lid ring and then one of them rings. Had a look at the spec for different suppliers and it is approx 700kgs - 900kgs.....micro digger won't lift anything like that.....anyone got any inventive ideas on how to remove this?
Cheers,
Ant
