shower tray waste installation

I'm putting my new shower tray in shortly. I currently have no floor, just joists, so i'm getting all of my plumbing done before putting boards down.

I am getting confused at how i install the shower waste (going on a mortar bed). You can see that i've drilled through brick and installed a pipe (shoved it through for no) to the rough location of shower tray.

Do i have to install the floorboards and then cut a hole out before finishing the waste pipe, or should i connect the bottom of the shower trap to the waste pipe now, and just move it along/adjust it once i've put the shower tray on mortar bed.

Do you also advise clipping the waste pipe or just let it hang loose inbetween the joists?

Personally I'd put the floor down, and then bed the tray, leaving yourself access to connect the waste pipe to the shower trap afterwards. Ideally you need to be able to access the waste for future maintenance. Secondly, I wouldn't use push fit waste under a floor, go with solvent weld, glued correctly, other than ever receiving damage, it will never give you an issue.

That length of pipe must be clipped/supported as required or it'll soon sag, leaving a plug of stagnant water in the pipe.

Cheers. How would I connect the pipe from the shower waste into solvent weld pipe? Is there a connector from compression to solvent pipe or will the solvent pipe be ok to go straight into shower waste?

Compression waste is universal, any pipe of the appropriate size will fit, so just run from your shower trap in 40mm solvent pipework. Only point then capable of leaking will be the shower trap.
