Bathroom walls

Hi guys,
Due to this pandemic our bathroom refit has not really started. The person doing it is well behind with other jobs, so got to wait now.
I've removed all the tiles & wanted to know if pic's are clear enough, whether it's possible to fill in hole's & lightly sand mark's out. Is that a viable idea? Cheers Doug

It will be a lot of sanding if you want an acceptable finish for paint.
Best to skim.
