Hello all

Im reading the installation instructions and it says the maximum depth I can mount it is 230mm away from the rear wall.

I intend to build a dry wall/boxing about 330mm away from the rear wall to give me more counter top space and will allow me to fit a larger sink to the side of the loo.

Question: Will I get away with building a stud wall and attach the grohe frame between timbers on the side and onto the floor joist, not having to fix it to the rear wall?

thanks all

You need to fix the top brackets to something even if it's some strong stud work. I wouldn't omit them. I've just fitted a grohe frame and it's the top brackets that also provide the fine adjustment to get the frame plumb.
