If they cannot screen the 115,000 entering the UK every week, (many from covid hot spots)then policing the shops to ensure everyone wears a muzzle will be a tall order.

If they cannot screen the 115,000 entering the UK every week, (many from covid hot spots)then policing the shops to ensure everyone wears a muzzle will be a tall order.
Not only not enough resources, but no real policy!
A relative of ours had to take a trip abroad (not by complete choice) and had to take a test on arrival and isolate for two days whilst waiting for the result.
(the faster/more reliable test isn't all that pleasant btw)
On return to the UK the only thing that happened was being advised to call 111 if you had a 'symptom'!

It seems to me that the policy of the UK is 'herd immunity' (might be a good thing) but they keep introducing little bits of this and that here and there to pretend it isn't.

Did you here about the 30 tear old American who went to a "Covid party" to prove that it was a hoax. His last words were something like, "I think I might have been wrong".
We have leaders suggesting it's just flu, leaders saying not to wear masks, and muppets believing them.
Well, maybe some good will come of it. Darwinism will prevail - survival of the fitness, and least dumb.
There's a bigger agenda at play, and some people here appear to be part of it.

As I have said. One person round my way has died in a care home with covid 19.
Probably less than has died with seasonal flu.
And you advocate we all wear masks.
Whilst 115,000 arrive in the UK every week and no screening.

Why does that bother you?
Because it sure as hell doesn't seem to bother you that everyone else already in the UK are not screened and many are not wearing masks.
And if it does bother you that all these people are coming in unscreened, surely wearing a mask is better than not wearing one?

Hasn't social distancing been shown to be more effective at restricting the spread of CV than masks.
