Gonna replace this old bit of wood with piece of ply or mdf. Gonna just mark this size onto new bit of wood. It's 32.5, 33cm and 33.5. Shall I cut it with circular saw or jigsaw?

Regarding using the jig saw, I guess will need to cut it hanging over the edge not through the middle of the boards. As it's only 5mm thick was going to use the

T101AO blades.

Had a little practice. How fast is it worth going with the jigsaw for a more accurate cut?

you can't do a curved cut with a circular saw
it might sound funny but its often easier to open the jaws on the workmate say 2 inches pendulum off hold the saw stationery and move the work past the saw now it wont go well on a big sheet and wont work for every body but worth a try

What exactly are you trying to do?
Cut a straight line or a curved one?

T101AO must be used pendulum.off in any case unless you want to break loads of blsdes

Got a sheet fractionally wider (5mm) variance every 1 metre so not perfectly straight. I guess use circular saw if can get away with it.

Also, just got first cordless jigsaw so want to use it correctly as I'm sure will need it in the future

If you're cutting a straight line then set up a guide- cut in two stages if you have to
A jigsaw isn't ideal for a straight line but if it's all you have....
