Looking at the instructions i believe 1 need a 4 core cable, so live and neutral go to the boiler power block to power the thermostat, then the volt free connections from the thermostat to the external connections block by removing the jumper wire and wiring the volt free connections.

Does that seem right, no need for switched live?

Many Thanks, and does it matter which way the volt free connections connect, i was going to do 3 on boiler to 3 on thermo, 1 on boiler to 4 on thermo

Cheers

Also for the wiring, is it better to get a separate cable to run from the thermo to the boilers fused spur for power, then separate 2 core from the thermo volt free to the boilers volt free connectors?
