The numbers are sort of similar here - proportionately - although the total deaths are a lot lower (mostly the old) and now cases are going up again BUT it is reported today that there are only 404 people hospitalised.

2.5% of the tests run come back positive, but you're trying to just test the ones you think are sick or that you need to monitor (front line NHS etc.).
The numbers mean a lot, they aren't simple. For simple you just want the number of new cases detected, it's a good summary.

As to what this 'virus' turns out to be is up for debate...

They want to kill medium and small businesses so to have a monopoly.
My friend is a high rank manager in a multinational and received a gigantic bonus for 6 months of work.
He bought a £150k car, so possibly we're talking half a million.
Strangely everyone in the middle and at the bottom is struggling and/or collapsed already.
This second lockdown is to clear anyone who managed to survive.
Maybe the virus will burn itself out as it appears the death rate is declining while the number of infections are increasing.
