Hi chaps. I've got a 24i junior combi boiler that seemed to be a little low on pressure lately (has been trickling down to 0.5 bar over the last few months). No biggy i thought, just give it some pressure as i've done many times.

I put the key in and let water through but it didnt do anything. No water at all. Took the key out and yes theres water flowing somewhere, but put the key in and no joy. Strange, figured a valve could be stuck somewhere and left it for a few hours (heating and water working fine).

Let it calm down and tried again.. could hear water flowing this time.. but pressure gauge wasn't going up. Must've had it on about 10 seconds and then *pop* water started peeing out the bottom far right of the unit. Turned the water off, took the key out and it stopped. Went for another attempt and this time it was peeing water out instantly - warm water too. Have I overfilled the boiler due to a faulty pressure valve and now it's getting rid of some water through the PRV? I can't quite access the boiler right now to see if it actually is the pressure release valve that's weeing it out but its flowing off a plastic tab that happens to be around where the PRV is on this model. Gauge still saying 0.5 bar through all of it. I could drain the system to know if the gauge is correct and goes to 0 but i worry i won't be able to re-pressurise it and lose my heating!
