They did help with the wiring of it so must know something.
Is currently working fine...
I think it’s the tado kit not triggering the boiler. Will see what they say.

The Tado operates the mid position valve, the valve triggers the boiler not the Tado
 
What everyone is trying to tell you, is that the issue is not your boiler, but one of the associated controls.
 
This is what tado say


A 3 port zone valve has 3 positions: Heating on, hot water on, and both on.
The connection for heating activation is faulty.

Please service the zone valve

No you said they told you it was the gas valve, not the same thing
 
Currently doing the same today (has been behaving) in that no hw. The light on the boiler is solid orange and I think that means no call for heat? I see the actuator in the airing cupboard shows hw light on.
What do we think? Actuator prob?
 
Ok will replace it. How long do these things last typically? Replaced it around 5-7 yes ago
