How to wire 3 gang hallway switch

Dam!

I was going to suggest a second 2way and offer this as a possibility until I notice it's resolved:

Your drawing seems to agree with the pictures (as far as I can see).

Why are there three wires in the left hand switch? Is the hall also two-way (the old method)?

Don't know but the middle switch is for landing and obviously is also switched on the landing too. Otherwise the two others are just individual on/off for hall and outside.

This is the final wiring I went with that works

Thanks for the feedback, I really wish I'd published my sketch first as I'm amazed how accurate it is.

The switch on the left is wired as a 2 way, are you sure there isn't another switch somewhere, I'm guessing the left is for outside light, maybe in the porch for example?

It is of course feasible the black is not connected to anything at the other end.

:):) My first thought was no it's just the one switch and then I looked around and low and behold another switch which operates the hall light aswell! I've only lived here 27 years!

So yes - one way for the porch, 2 way for hall and 2 way for landing.

As a matter of interest where has the additional switch been hiding. 'Er indoors asks if it's in a cupboard?

Strangely it is only a couple of metres across the entrance hall. I put the reason I'd forgotten about it down to 2 things. 1. We've been living abroad for the last 3 years just returned this last August. Maybe forgotten it was there 2. It's really an unnecessary switch location wise. Over the years we've probably very rarely used it.
