Interesting reading.

I assume by 'fully vaccinated' you mean both jabs?
In France, if you can't book your second jab, your first is cancelled.

Yes very interesting, Israel have done a great job(y) wish we could all have a goverment and health service like theirs.

Must be the same here. My friend tried to book both first and second jabs online. She booked the first but didn’t have a second one to book so she couldn’t proceed. Phone her GP the next day and he got her both appointments at a centre much nearer to her.

I was told I'd be contacted to book jab 2. From the rather rough date mentioned it will be 12 weeks. I was contacted locally for jab 1 and told to ignore the letters that are sent out.

Israel did a deal with Pfizer - making themselves a test bed for the vaccine and releasing all medical data. Seen as ideal due to population size and medical facilities. Maybe the Emirates have plenty of money. They seem to be doing rather well immediately.

Another country - (S Ireland - I think) has dropped AZ while pointing out that there is no evidence that it is causing problems and need to look at the details. This reaction might be down to the quantities that are now available for the others.

Book 1st and 2nd jabs at the same time, had the 1st a couple of weeks back, 2nd is booked early May.

Racing ahead of the EU in total vaccines, and the gap will increase in the next few weeks.

theres another way to look at it

there is only a finite number of vaccines available, so if the EU had been quicker off the mark than the UK...the UK wouldnt have got any.

the EU have administered 49 million vaccines so far -pretty much double that of the UK.

if the EU had been vaccinating at the same rate as the UK it would have needed to have vaccinated over 200 million people by now -and there arent that many vaccines available.
