closer, but a long way off

But every reply needs to add a second, every second, to get a precise answer.
Not necessarily, due to the orbit of Earth, the time can increase or decrease. I don't need the exact time, nearest 5 minutes will do.
There are tracking sites, you can see the distance from Earth, and the Sun in real time going up and down, though I haven't seen the time for a message change for a while.

Closest so far.
Reading all the facts on the various sites is quite revealing, and amazing. One thing I didn't realise is that Voyager 2 was launched before Voyager 1, yet V1 has travelled further.
Why call it Voyager 2 if it was first? The explanation must be that Voyager 1 was made, conceived/designed before Voyager 2

There was about 3 weeks between the launches, I think they had different missions, they've been going over 43 years, must have Duracell batteries.
hahaha - Duracell batteries - 43 years in space and to be still working is good going - I can't even get my kettles to last more than 12 x months (I buy low priced ones from Tesco)

Not really, I’ve just handed him another half-dozen posts. Chit chat! Anyway, I don’t have any titles to lose!
